#OpenDoors25 may be over but we continue to receive super feedback which shows that its impact on inspiring the next generation to choose a career in construction goes on long after the event! With your support, we hosted events across the whole of the UK, including Northern Ireland for the first time, and showcased the diverse range of opportunities available in the industry to a record 7,000 visitors from 17 – 22 March.
A fantastic 88% of visitors confirmed they were more likely to consider a career in construction after their visit, and we are delighted to share our review highlighting the success of this year’s event. We not only inspired those who attended events but significantly raised the profile of careers in construction through increased media coverage, and a huge thank you again to all of you who got involved and helped us to show just what our industry has to offer!
Open Doors 2026 ‐ Save the Dates!

Maintain the Momentum
With this year’s BBC Bitesize Careers Survey revealing ‘engineering’ and ‘building trade’ are in the top 10 jobs teenagers want, you can maximise the return from all your efforts during Open Doors Week by following up with visitors to offer repeat visits, work experience and other opportunities. Build UK has published information on Degree Apprenticeships in Construction for potential new entrants interested in joining the industry via this route.
